As a family of four (two parents and two teenagers), we were looking for a vacation that would blend nature, history, and culture—and the Heritage Trail of Bosnia exceeded all our expectations.
From the moment we landed in Sarajevo, everything was perfectly organized. Our guide was not only knowledgeable but also amazing with kids—engaging, patient, and full of fascinating stories that brought each destination to life. The entire route felt like a well-written history book unfolding before us, with stops in Sarajevo, Travnik, Bihać, Jajce, Livno, Mostar, and Trebinje.
The kids especially loved the visit to Una National Park (those waterfalls are breathtaking!) and the wild horse safari near Livno—an absolute highlight for our family. We also had time for fun and relaxation, like strolling through the old bazaars, trying delicious local food, and taking in stunning mountain and river views.
The accommodations were cozy and clean, transportation was very comfortable, and every detail was taken care of—we never had to worry about a thing. The mix of cultural heritage, natural beauty, and warm hospitality made this trip truly unforgettable.
We left Bosnia with hearts full of memories, deeper family bonds, and a brand-new appreciation for this beautiful and underrated country.
